According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; it strap by the physiology of your skin."
We are pleased to offer this first generation Dynamic. The first generation of the watch lasted from 1968 until 1970.
As one of the early Dynamics, before Omega switched to using the 1000 series movements for the line, it is powered by Omega's high-grade caliber 565.
Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, was the top-tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is arguably the finest mass-produced automatic movement from era.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It is fully Omega and presents in gorgeous restored condition. On the wrist it presents as perfect mint.
Its case presents as mint with the slightest signs of previous polishing. On the wrist it presents as mint. Its Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in Tiffany & Co. "robin's egg blue" - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Its very fine automatic Omega movement has just been overhauled and serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It winds smoothly and is running extremely strong and true, keeping time like a brand new Omega chronometer in our testing position.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
An almost fifty year old Dynamic that presents like new on the wrist!
Note: An example of this watch resides in the Omega museum, and a published example can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 483.
